The 2024 Belt and Road Summit, scheduled for September 11 to 12, will focus on the theme "Building a Connected, Innovative, and Green Belt and Road."

Ahead of the Summit, Nicholas Ho, the Commissioner for Belt and Road, discussed Hong Kong's partnership with ASEAN in an interview with an SFC journalist. He noted that while Hong Kong and ASEAN have a longstanding partnership, there is a strong drive to open new markets. The collaboration spans various areas of connectivity, including air, cargo, financial, cultural, and educational. Ho emphasized that this partnership is about more than just trade and policy; it involves a broad range of sectors, such as talent and education.
